Things I can help with
- Corrections. If a timetable, price or opening hour on this site has gone out of date, that is the most useful email I can get.
- Route questions the pages do not cover, such as reaching Yamanouchi from a ski base rather than from Nagano Station.
- Questions about what a page means. If tour or do it yourself left you undecided, tell me what your day looks like and I will tell you what I would do with it.
- Enquiries from tour operators, writers and anyone who wants to use something from here.
Things I cannot do
I cannot change or cancel a booking. If you booked through a panel on this site, the booking is with GetYourGuide and the operator, and I never see it. Your confirmation email carries GetYourGuide’s own contact route and the operator’s details, and that is the only path that reaches your reservation. Writing to me instead only loses you time.
I cannot tell you what the monkeys will be doing on your day. I am not the park and nobody, including the park, can promise a monkey in the water on a given afternoon. They are wild and free-ranging, they come down because the park feeds them, and they leave when they feel like it. The park publishes its own live update on monkey appearances at en.jigokudani-yaenkoen.co.jp, which is the thing to check over breakfast. I cannot sell you park admission. Entry is paid at the park, ¥800 for an adult and ¥400 for a child aged 6 to 17, and it has nothing to do with any tour you book here. See what the day costs.
